Since first appointment Dr Gurjar was very professional and extremely friendly. I was afraid of my surgery but he explained everything and reassure me. I was impressed by Dr Gurjar's team at BMI Bishops Wood Hospital. Every single person dealing with me was very kind and professional. Dr Gurjar has fantastic attitude towards his patients and you can tell that he is passionate about his work. Thank you again Dr Gurjar and all the staff for making my surgery a great experience.

Dr Gurjar was excellent throughout my colonoscopy - I have had a colonoscopy before with a different doctor and this time I felt more inclusive and open. Dr Gurjar took the time to explain to me what was going on throughout the procedure and answered my questions very well.

Thank you for the positive feedback. Colonoscopy can be a challenging procedure but made easier when the patient is more at ease.

I have enjoyed good health and so the advent of 3 sudden significant issues over the past month came as a surprise to me. Due to Covid my GP was unable to examine me but referred me privately (Bupa for 40+ years). It was the morning of Friday 14 August and I was very anxious about my condition with the weekend coming up. I called Bupa Harpenden (as I knew it from years ago) but all lines were engaged for a couple of hours and then an admin person took my call and said someone would get back to me. I waited but nobody replied so I drove to Harpenden to find it was a Spire hospital and was told that they were unable to accept un-booked appointments due to Covid. Observing my stress and discomfort from a distance Natalie (Hunt?) came forward to listen carefully to my situation. She then explained that she would try to find a doctor who could see me, could not promise, suggested I go and sit in my car and she would phone me with news. This she did and I am most grateful to her compassion and for acting up her personal assessment of my problem. So I felt I was still in an axious state of mind when Mr Gurjar called me in at 4.45. His manner immediately put me at ease and he listened to the sudden changes in my health that I had experienced recently. He asked some questions of detail and then relayed my experiences back to me for confirmation as he wrote his notes. He then examined me and confirmed that my stomach did not feel normal. Finally he requested an urgent CT scan to be carried out on the following Wednesday 19 after which he will contact me. Although I did not consider it at the time, I appreciate that my arrival at the hospital was not possible to handle within the new Covid arrangements. I am therefore most grateful that all your staff and particularly Natalie/Mr Gurjar made the decisons that they did to help me.

The Surgeon had a pleasant manner and put me at my ease , as I was a little anxious of the procedure. He explained all details and talked me through the procedure , from beginning to the end. Despite Sedation was surprised how alert and relaxed I was to follow it all on the screen.
